A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE

Come back to
what matters.

A meaningful affirmation is a moment to remember what you care about. Research on personal values offers a reason to make space for that reflection.

01 / THE LAYERS OF YOU

Beneath the noise,
what matters.

Your day has many layers: roles, worries, expectations. A meaningful affirmation brings you back to the values beneath them.

What the research explored

In a laboratory study of 85 people, reflecting on personal values led to a lower cortisol response to a stressful task than a control activity.

02 / FINDING YOUR WAY

From tangled thoughts
to a next step.

You don’t have to untangle everything at once. Pause, name what matters, and choose one small action.

What the research explored

A study with university students found that writing about an important personal value improved problem-solving among those reporting high ongoing stress.

These studies tested personal-value reflection. Benefits of this app’s daily read-along routine have not been established. The illustrations are visual metaphors, not data charts.

Why choose words you can believe?

Research on repeated positive statements found mixed effects, including worse feelings for some people with low self-esteem. Choose a line that feels credible, reflect on why it matters, and connect it to one small action.

01 / A SIMPLE DAILY RITUAL

Not another task.
A little space.

You don’t need the perfect morning routine or the perfect words. Just a few minutes to practise speaking to yourself with care.

See how it feels
01

Choose what matters.

Confidence, rest, relationships, or something else on your mind. Your practice begins with the parts of life you want to care for.

02

Give the words a moment.

Listen, then say each affirmation in your own voice. On quieter days, type it instead. Both are a way to show up.

03

Come back as you are.

Keep the lines that mean something. Build a rhythm that fits your life. Miss a day? Your next beginning is still here.

I can grow
at my own pace.

A small reminder. In your own voice.

Try either way of practising.

03 / YOUR VOICE. YOUR PACE.

Say it out loud.
Or keep it quiet.

At home, let yourself hear the words. On the train, in a waiting room, or beside someone sleeping, type them gently into your day.

There’s no performance to get right. Just one line, and a little attention.

A LITTLE KINDNESS, IN YOUR OWN WORDS

A LITTLE NOTE FROM US

A small practice.
Not a big subscription.

Dear Within started with a simple wish: to make an encouraging daily habit easier to keep, and easier to afford.

We’re building with free daily practice at the heart of it. Later, an optional coffee-sized contribution may help keep it going. Your everyday kindness won’t depend on it.

With kindness, dear within

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

A few things
to know.

Do I have to say the words out loud?

No. Write it in is an equal way to practise. Choose whatever fits your surroundings and how you feel that day.

What if ten affirmations feel like too many?

Start with three. A shorter session is still a moment you made for yourself. You can come back for more when you want to.

Can I change the sentences?

You can choose different themes, save useful lines, and replace an affirmation that doesn’t feel right. The words should feel encouraging and believable.

Is this available as a mobile app?

We have an early browser app you can use on your phone. These pages explore the next design. A native mobile app is still in development planning.

Where is my practice saved?

The working browser app saves progress on your device in this browser, without an account or cross-device sync. This design wireframe keeps only temporary demonstration state. See our privacy page (in English) for the working app’s speech and storage details.

What should I expect from affirmations?

A small reflection habit, not a promise that saying something will make it happen. Choose words that feel grounded and useful to you. It isn’t a replacement for professional care.

START SMALL. START HERE.

A little moment.
All yours.
